Erdogan: Israel is a Terrorist State

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan denounces Israel, calling it a terrorist state that kills children.

Erdogan promised to fight to a bitter end against Donald Trump's confession of Jerusalem as the capital of the Jewish state.

"Palestine is an innocent victim to Israel, this is a terrorist state, yes, a terrorist!" Erdogan told a ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) congress in the Turkish city of Sivas.

"We will not leave Jerusalem because of the mercy of the country that killed the children," he added as quoted by Russia Today, Monday (11/12/2017).

Regarding the US decision to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, although the Palestinians see the eastern part of the city as the capital of a sovereign state of the future, Erdogan promises to use all means against it.

Erdogan denounced Israel as a state of oppressors and invaders. Erdogan called the Israeli police and military reactions to the demonstrations disproportionate.

"The US ignored a 1980 UN Security Council decision on Jerusalem that was signed by the US at the time," Erdogan said.

"A system where a stronger one is considered right can not uphold justice, peace and stability," he said, adding that the American approach could lead to more tragedies.

In response to Erdogan's remarks, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu replied that his Turkish counterpart had absolutely no right to speak.

"I am not used to receiving lectures on morality from a leader who bombed a Kurdish village in his home country, Turkey, which imprisoned journalists," Netanyahu said, adding that Erdogan helped terrorists, including Gaza, killing innocent people.

"Not the right person to lecture us," Netanyahu said again.
