Sandiaga Uno Follow Second Change Fun Run for Fostering Prisoners


Togog.Online | Vice governor of DKI Jakarta, Sandiaga Uno participated in a joyful run organized by Second Change Foundation Sunday morning (5/11) at FX Sudirman Jakarta. "Everybody needs a second chance, everyone deserves a second chance," Sandiaga said in his speech.

Furthermore, he said that the Fun Run is a Social Enterpreunership, an effort to overcome the problems of coaching inmates in prisons throughout Indonesia.

"We must help by giving a second chance," he said again excitedly, which was shared by the excitement and applause of all Fun Run participants.

The event aims to collect donations for supporting prisoners in Indonesia.

The event's initiator and founder of the Second Chance Foundation, Evi Amir Syamsudin, said all the funds collected from this event were for the benefit of guiding inmates so that they could live productively towards integration into society.

"So far, Second Chance Foundation has helped the craft napi exhibition, and will cooperate with large hotel group to market hotel slug products product salemba," said Evi.

Director of Prisoners' Training, Work Practice and Production of Directorate General of Correctional, Harun Sulianto thanked the Second Chance foundation, who has been actively helping the prisoner.

"Correctional duty is for prisoners to be aware of their mistakes, not to violate the law anymore, to be a good and useful citizen during and after the crime," said Harun.

"Fun Run is a festive event as well as a form of community participation, so hopefully there is support and community control for the good of counseling inmates in the future," added Aaron.

The event which was attended by about 700 participants was opened by Vice Governor Sadiaga Uno and former Menkumham Amir Samsudin. Also present were former ministers, Saleh Husein, Marie Elka Pangestu, and Secretary General of Kemenkumham Bambang Rantam Sariwanto.
