Governor of Anies Want to Have a Regional Language Curriculum

The Governor of DKI Jakarta Anies Baswedan today expressed his wish that in Jakarta there are regional languages ​​that are included in the education curriculum.

According to him, currently in Jakarta there is only education that covers in two languages, namely national language, Indonesian language and international language.

The Governor hopes the student's repertory in Jakarta can be increased by local language. With the local language curriculum, can preserve the language culture in Indonesia.

"Now there are only two in Jakarta. One Indonesian language, one international. Ideally three. That way regional languages ​​develop, the national language awake as a glue, international language to convey information ideas in the global arena, "said Anies in IRTI Monas Field, Central Jakarta, Monday (30/10/2017).

According to Anies by having three basic languages, though studying the international language as a universal language but not leaving the roots of culture by maintaining the local language.

"In the future I imagine our children hopefully have three languages. One local language, one Indonesian language then international language. We need all three, "he added.
