Sri Mulyani Optimistic Able to Pursue Target Tax Payment


Minister of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia, Sri Mulyani Indrawati, admitted optimist that the Ministry of Finance along with all Directorate General (DG) of Taxes and DG Customs and other institutions are able to pursue tax collection target charged by the Government amounting to Rp1,609.4 trillion until the end of 2018 Upcoming.

Sri Mulyani said that when giving a speech in the press title of the explanation of the Financial Notes and Draft Law (RUU) of State Budget Expenditure (APBN) Fiscal Year (FY) 2018, in Jakarta, Wednesday (16/08/2017) night.

According to Sri Mulyani, the actual tax collection target charged by the Government until the end of 2018 tends to be lower, compared to the previous year.

Nevertheless, Sri Mulyani is determined that the spirit and determination of the Ministry of Finance and the ranks will not be saggy or weakened in order to pursue tax collection target.

In the 2018 Budget Plan, the Government is targeting revenues from the tax sector of Rp1,609.4 trillion. According to Sri Mulyani, the tax receipt target is more moderate compared to the projection of tax growth this year which is targeted to reach 14 percent.

Sri Mulyani Indrawati said that although the tax collection target charged by the Government until the end of 2018 amounted to Rp1,609.4 trillion or lower compared to the end of 2017, it does not mean that the policy especially in the sector of taxation is slack. It is still working hard and optimistic, that the target revenue of the state from the tax sector will be achieved.

Sri Mulyani also admitted that based on the posture of RAPBN 2018, the target of tax revenues until the end of 2018 is targeted to reach Rp1,609.6 trillion Rupiah, each of which comes from taxes Rp1.415.3 trillion, Oil and Gas PPh Rp35, 9 trillion And Customs Rp194, 1 trillion.
