President Director of PT Bio Farma drs Juliman said (1/8/2017) said the vaccine (MR) from India used in the government program does not contain elements of pigs.

Manufacturers of Indian vaccines, according to Juliman has also become a provider for 141 countries in the world.

"The composition of none of the pigs and producers from India has become a supplier of 141 countries, which has also been recognized by the WHO and registered by the Balai POM to be safe," he said.

Nevertheless, Juliman admitted that the vaccine (MR) has not pocketed Halal certification from Majelis Ulama Indonesia (MUI). "But the MUI has already declared its legal immunization mandatory to prevent death or disability," he added.
